A Norwegian wall panel maker is gaining relevance

Norcros Plc

Fibo has been producing waterproof wall panels from its factory in Lyngdal, Norway since 1952. Their processes are built around quality control, sustainable sourcing and consistent product delivery.

What sets Fibo apart is its full control over the inputs and assembly. Every panel begins with seven-layer birch plywood sourced from certified Nordic forests. Each batch is tested for moisture and temperature tolerance before moving into a gluing process that bonds the wood core with a high-pressure laminate front and moisture-resistant backing. Panels are precision milled for tile-effect finishes, then undergo final inspection before being packaged and stored in climate-controlled conditions.

This manufacturing model is about reliability and reputation. The products are marketed for wet-room applications, where failure is costly and durability matters. In this niche, trust in the product becomes a commercial advantage.

Fibo’s emphasis on sustainable production, using PEFC-certified timber and minimising plastic packaging, adds a further layer of defensibility. Its factory meets ISO 14001 standards, which supports alignment with environmental regulations and ESG-focused capital.
