Centrica reports £1.4bn EBITDA and higher dividend for 2025

Centrica plc (LON:CNA) has announced its preliminary results for the year ending 31 December 2025 are available.

DIVIDENDS

Dividends represent the return of profits to shareholders. Dividends are paid as an amount per ordinary share held.

In addition to the interim dividend of 1.83p per share for the six months ended 30 June 2025, the proposed final dividend is 3.67p per share for the year ended 31 December 2025, giving a total full year dividend of 5.5p per share (2024: 4.5p per share). The dividend will be submitted for formal approval at the Annual General Meeting expected to be held on 7 May 2026 and, subject to approval, will be paid on 14 May 2026 to those shareholders registered on Friday, 10 April 2026.

The Company has sufficient distributable reserves to pay dividends to its ultimate shareholders. Distributable reserves are calculated on an individual legal entity basis and the ultimate parent company, Centrica plc, currently has adequate levels of realised profits within its retained earnings to support dividend payments.
