Matchtech expands recruitment support for engineering and infrastructure employers

Gattaca Plc

Matchtech is promoting Recruitment Process Outsourcing, or RPO, as a practical way for engineering and infrastructure employers to increase permanent hiring capacity without adding the full cost of a larger in-house recruitment team.

When hiring demand rises, internal talent teams can become stretched, particularly when employers are trying to recruit specialist technical staff. Matchtech offers additional recruitment support that can be scaled up when needed, while allowing the client to keep its existing internal recruitment function in place.

Engineering and infrastructure hiring can be uneven. Project starts, expansion plans and changing workloads can create sudden increases in recruitment activity. Building an internal team large enough to handle peak demand can leave employers carrying higher fixed costs when hiring slows again.

RPO gives employers another option. They can add recruitment capacity when vacancies increase and reduce that support when demand falls. This can make recruitment spending more closely matched to actual hiring needs.

Matchtech also highlights the difficulty of finding specialist engineering and infrastructure candidates. These roles can take more time and effort to fill, especially when several vacancies are open at once. Extra sourcing and recruitment capacity can help employers reach more candidates and move through hiring processes without placing all of the workload on internal teams.

The model is designed to work alongside existing recruitment operations rather than replace them. Matchtech can provide additional people, processes and recruitment expertise while the employer retains control of its wider talent strategy and employer brand.
