TR strengthens Grant Engineering relationship with new inventory service

Trifast

TR has expanded its relationship with Grant Engineering by introducing a new line-side inventory management service at the manufacturer’s production facility.

The service moves TR beyond supplying fasteners and into the day-to-day management of selected components. It is designed to improve stock visibility, automate replenishment and ensure critical fasteners are available where they are needed on the production line.

TR has worked with Grant Engineering for more than a decade. The latest project followed a review of the company’s existing inventory processes, with TR assessing stock requirements and production activity before designing a tailored solution.

The initial rollout covers high-volume fasteners including bolts, screws and washers. These are relatively low-value components, but shortages can disrupt production. By placing stock directly at the point of use and monitoring consumption, TR aims to reduce the risk of unavailable components while avoiding unnecessary inventory.

The system also replaces elements of Grant Engineering’s manual bin management process. Consumption data is captured in real time, allowing replenishment to be driven by actual usage rather than relying solely on forecasts. TR will manage stock levels and make regular replenishment visits as part of the service.

For Grant Engineering, that should make inventory requirements easier to monitor as production schedules change. It also shifts responsibility for managing these components towards TR, reducing the administrative burden on Grant Engineering’s own teams.

Trifast plc (LON:TRI) is a global leader in the design, engineering, manufacture and supply of fastenings and Category ‘C’ components. Supplying major assembly industries, we deliver innovative solutions that enhance efficiency and performance.
