Tekmar Group has secured a US$1.5 million contract for a major port development project in the Middle East, marking a meaningful move into a growing area of marine infrastructure. The deal, awarded by an existing engineering and construction client, involves the design and supply of bespoke scour protection solutions, with delivery scheduled for the third quarter of 2026.
While the company is best known for its work in offshore wind and subsea energy, this award shows how its core capabilities are translating into new commercial opportunities. Ports are increasingly being built or upgraded to meet rising trade volumes and climate resilience standards, and Tekmar’s solutions are well placed to support this shift. The use of tailored engineering in this contract, rather than standardised products, suggests an emphasis on quality and durability, positioning Tekmar for more technically demanding and higher-margin work.
The client relationship underpinning the deal already exists, pointing to Tekmar’s ability to win repeat business with large-scale partners. That provides a measure of earnings visibility while expanding its footprint in a sector that tends to be less cyclical than energy.
Tekmar Group plc (LON:TGP) vision is to be the leading provider of technology and services to the global offshore energy markets. The Group’s three primary operating companies are RYDER, Tekmar Energy and Pipeshield International.
