Tekmar Group has secured a new contract valued at more than €8 million to supply its subsea cable protection systems to a major offshore wind development in UK waters. The award, made by an existing EPC client, extends the company’s footprint in a critical growth sector and reflects its positioning as a preferred supplier as the UK’s offshore wind build-out continues towards 2027.
The agreement covers the supply of Tekmar’s Generation 10 cable protection system and associated components, tailored for installation in demanding subsea conditions. Scheduled for delivery in the second half of 2027, the systems will support the safe and efficient installation of power cables connecting offshore turbines to onshore infrastructure. Tekmar’s in-house design team will customise the solution to align with the environmental parameters of the site, which has not yet been publicly named.
Although revenue from the contract is contingent on the project reaching a final investment decision—expected in early 2026, it is anticipated that the resulting income will be recognised across the company’s 2026 and 2027 financial years. This timeline is consistent with the broader offshore wind project cycle, which typically involves extended planning, permitting and procurement phases before construction begins.
Tekmar Group plc (LON:TGP) vision is to be the leading provider of technology and services to the global offshore energy markets. The Group’s three primary operating companies are RYDER, Tekmar Energy and Pipeshield International.
