Surface Transforms plc (LON:SCE), manufacturers of carbon fibre reinforced ceramic materials, announced today the promotion of Michael Cunningham, the Company’s Finance Director, to the Board of Directors, with immediate effect.

Michael joined Surface Transforms ‎in January 2018 and has brought considerable operational and financial experience to the Company having worked in different segments of the automotive sector for over 14 years, latterly being the Profitability Controller at Bentley Motors Ltd. He also has an MBA from the European School of Management and Technology, Berlin and gained the ACCA qualification in 2000.

Commenting on Michael’s appointment, David Bundred, Surface Transforms plc Chairman, said:

“We are delighted that Michael has accepted our invitation to join the Board. Since joining Surface Transforms, Michael has drawn upon his extensive experience of both large and small automotive companies contributing significantly to both improving financial discipline in the Company and to its wider strategic direction.”

As previously announced in January 2018, Michael was awarded 990,000 options in the Company.
