RM Technology has expanded its education device range through a partnership with AMD, giving schools and multi-academy trusts access to a broader selection of HP hardware.
The move adds AMD-powered HP EliteBook 6 devices to RM’s portfolio, including 14-inch and 16-inch models with a choice of AI and non-AI processors, memory options and storage configurations. The wider range gives RM more flexibility to match devices with different budgets, workloads and IT requirements.
RM introduced the partnership at its Formula Win Day in June, where employees received technical training and hands-on experience with the devices. The session focused on the features most relevant to education customers, including battery life, security, device management, graphics performance and multitasking.
The main commercial benefit is greater choice. Schools and trusts do not all need the same level of performance, and device requirements can vary across classrooms, administrative teams and specialist users. Offering more configurations allows RM to recommend hardware more closely aligned with each use case.
RM says its relationship with AMD supports competitive pricing across the range, giving customers more scope to balance specification and cost. That matters in education, where technology purchases are often made within fixed budgets and device replacement programmes need to cover large numbers of users.
The addition of AMD-powered devices also strengthens RM’s position when customers are reviewing their existing hardware estates. Rather than offering a limited set of configurations, the company can now provide a wider spread of options across processor type, screen size, memory and storage.
