Hercules reported higher revenue and profit for the year ended 30 September 2025, helped by acquisitions and continued demand across UK infrastructure markets.
Revenue rose to £121.2 million from £101.9 million, taking the group above £120 million for the first time. Underlying pre-tax profit increased to £4 million from £2.6 million, while EBITDA rose to £6.4 million from £4.7 million.
The results show a business that is growing in size and broadening its role across infrastructure delivery. Hercules supplies labour, training and construction services to projects in sectors such as power, energy, water, transport and nuclear. These are markets where long-term investment needs remain significant, giving the group exposure to areas that are important to the UK economy.
A major development during the year was the acquisition of Advantage NRG. The deal strengthened Hercules’ position in overhead electrical transmission work, including the supply and training of linesmen. This gives the group a stronger foothold in power infrastructure, an area linked to grid upgrades and wider energy transition spending.
After the year end, Hercules also acquired Lyons Power Services, adding further capability in the power sector. The move supports the group’s strategy of building specialist services in markets where customers need skilled labour and technical delivery support.
The group also bought Quality Transport Training, which has expanded the Hercules Academy. This adds training capacity and may help the business address skills shortages in the infrastructure sector.
