Hercules has taken part in an HS2 Recruitment Hub event in Chelmsley Wood, giving the company direct access to local people interested in roles across the infrastructure supply chain.
Social Value Lead Miquel Brown represented Hercules at the event, which was organised on behalf of BBV.
The event connected local candidates with employers operating across the HS2 supply chain. Attendees were able to discuss available roles, explain their skills and consider different career options, including both site-based and office-based positions.
Access to suitable labour is important for companies supporting major infrastructure projects.
The format of the event allowed candidates to have direct conversations with employers rather than relying solely on formal applications. This can make it easier for Hercules to identify people whose experience, skills or interests may fit future roles across operational and office-based functions.
The event was organised by Lilie Smylie and Michael Gray, DWP West Midlands Group Partnership Manager.
