Avation to deliver first ATR 72-600 to SUM Air in November 2025

Avation PLC (LON:AVAP), the commercial passenger aircraft leasing company, has announced the signing of a lease agreement with South Korean airline SUM Air for a new ATR 72-600 aircraft. 

The aircraft is one of the ten ATR 72-600 aircraft ordered by Avation in 2024 pursuant to the exercise of Purchase Rights under its long-term purchase contract with ATR. The aircraft, which is scheduled to be delivered in November 2025, will be the first aircraft in SUM Air’s fleet.

Jeff Chatfield, Executive Chairman of Avation PLC, said: “We are pleased to confirm the addition of SUM Air to our customer list and congratulate them on their decision to select the ATR 72-600 to expand regional air travel throughout the Republic of Korea, connecting cities and islands in the region.
