Avation delivers ATR 72-600 aircraft to SUM Air under 12-year lease

Avation plc (LON:AVAP), the commercial passenger aircraft leasing company has announced that it has delivered a new ATR 72-600 aircraft to South Korean airline, SUM Air. The aircraft will be the first ATR aircraft in SUM Air’s fleet. The aircraft is on twelve-year lease and was delivered on the 29th of December 2025, further to the Company’s announcement of 3 September 2025.

The aircraft is one of the ten ATR 72-600 new aircraft ordered by Avation in 2024 pursuant to the exercise of Purchase Rights with ATR.  

Jeff Chatfield, Executive Chairman of Avation PLC, commented: “we are pleased to purchase this aircraft, which is currently unencumbered and which has been placed on lease with a new airline customer, SUM Air, for a twelve-year lease. SUM Air is our first customer in South Korea; we look forward to a long and successful business relationship with the airline.”
