Great Western advances multi-metal potential at Nevada project

Great Western Mining Corporation

Great Western Mining has confirmed the presence of gold and silver alongside copper at its West Huntoon project in Nevada, following a targeted drilling campaign that broadens the asset’s exploration potential. The six-hole reverse circulation programme, totalling 3,630 feet, was designed to test the Cretaceous Crown Point granite, a feature now recognised as a host for precious and base metals.

Key intercepts included grades of up to 2.55 grams per tonne gold and 19 grams per tonne silver over five feet, alongside broader intervals exhibiting precious metals and supporting geochemical indicators. The positive identification of gold and silver mineralisation within the granite represents a step forward in understanding the system’s geology, with implications for future resource targeting.

The findings will inform Great Western’s 2026 exploration priorities. These include further drilling to test the granite in greater detail, assaying of historic core samples, and expanded geological mapping.

Great Western Mining Corporation Plc (LON:GWMO) is a mineral exploration and development company, incorporated in Ireland with operations in the USA.
