Union Jack Oil PLC Wressle Development – New Planning Application

Union Jack Oil

Union Jack Oil plc (LON:UJO), a UK-focused, onshore oil and gas exploration and production company, has today announced an update in respect of a new planning application regarding the Wressle conventional development, located within PEDL180 and PEDL182, of which, Union Jack Oil holds a 15% interest (3.33% subject to approval from the Oil and Gas Authority).

The Operator, Egdon Resources plc (LON:EDR), announced today that a new Planning Application (“the Application”) was submitted for the Wressle development on 28 April 2017.

The Application includes additional detailed information to address the specific concerns raised by North Lincolnshire Council in its 11 January 2017 decision to decline planning consent for the development of the Wressle Oil Field at Lodge Farm, Wressle, North Lincolnshire. The application will now be validated by North Lincolnshire Council’s planning department, a process that usually takes up to 14 days.

As previously announced on 11 April 2017, Egdon Resources plc has already submitted an appeal against North Lincolnshire County Council`s decision to decline planning consent.

Egdon believes that this dual track approach will provide the best opportunity for a successful outcome with the minimum delay.
