St. James’s Place outlines simplified financial reporting framework

STJ

St. James’s Place Plc (LON:STJ) has shared a new, simplified framework for reporting its financial performance, which will be implemented for the Group’s Half Year 2026 results.

Consistent with the Group’s broader focus on simplification and standardisation, the new framework is intended to provide a clearer and more transparent presentation of financial performance, better reflecting the Group’s financial business model, charging structure, and statutory IFRS reporting. The new framework is purely a change in how the Group presents its results; there is no change to its financial business model, anticipated profitability, financial ambitions or shareholder returns guidance.

Under the new framework the ‘Underlying cash result’ primary performance metric is renamed ‘adjusted IFRS profit after tax’. This is the same number operating under a different name.

Whilst the bottom-line primary performance metric remains consistent, albeit renamed, the simplified framework introduces an updated presentation of income and expenses. These are shown separately and before tax, consistent with the presentation required under IFRS. The new disclosures provide greater clarity on the drivers of profitability, including the contribution from funds under management and new business inflows.

Further details of the new framework, including pro‑forma financial information and illustrative reconciliations, are set out in an on-demand webcast hosted by Caroline Waddington, Chief Financial Officer. The Group will host a live Q&A call to discuss the new framework on 18 June 2026 at 16:30 BST. Full details for the webcast and Q&A call can be found below.
