Sintana Energy brings forward final payments to complete Trinidad exit

Sintana Energy

Sintana Energy has received the first US$450,000 payment from the sale of its Trinidad business and agreed revised terms to accelerate the remaining payments.

Under the revised agreement, Sintana expects to receive total deferred cash payments of US$900,000 by the end of December 2026, including the instalment already received.

Previously, the remaining payments were scheduled to extend through to the end of 2027, with total consideration of US$1 million. The revised agreement includes an early payment discount, reducing the expected total to US$900,000 in exchange for faster settlement.

Receipt of the outstanding payments is expected to complete Sintana’s exit from all business, assets and operations in Trinidad.

The company sold its Trinidad business in 2025 and is now focused on its portfolio of exploration interests in Namibia, Uruguay and Angola.

Sintana Energy Inc (TSX-V:SEI, OTCQX:SEUSF) is a public oil and natural gas exploration company listed on the Toronto Venture Exchange.
