SEASTARS project moves to integration phase as Quadrise joins key assembly

Quadrise plc

The SEASTARS consortium has completed its second General Assembly, marking the start of a crucial phase in the EU-funded project. The meeting brought together partners to align on vessel decarbonisation technologies, with a clear shift towards practical integration in both retrofits and newbuilds.

Quadrise’s CTO Jason Miles and Project Engineer Alfie Peacock took part in the two-day event, which focused on refining digital twin models and model-based systems engineering. These tools will support the rollout of emission-reducing systems as the maritime sector prepares for stricter environmental standards.

The project now moves from concept to implementation, with technical development giving way to system integration and stakeholder engagement. SEASTARS is planning several major outreach efforts this year, including its presence at the 2026 Posidonia exhibition and a series of Design Thinking workshops.

Quadrise plc (LON:QED) is an energy technology provider whose solutions enable production of cheaper, cleaner, simpler and safer alternatives to fuel oil and biofuels, proven in real world applications.
