Polar Capital Technology Trust PLC (LON:PCT) has announced the appointment of Mr Simon Crinage as an independent non-executive Director with effect from 12 October 2026. He will also be appointed as Chair of the Remuneration Committee and Senior Independent Director.
Mr Crinage is a Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Asset Management and will retire from the firm on 31 December 2026. From April 2013 to November 2025, he was Head of Investment Trusts, with responsibility for the strategy, governance, regulatory oversight, capital markets activity and board and shareholder engagement across J.P. Morgan’s investment trust business.
Mr Crinage joined Robert Fleming, now J.P. Morgan, in August 1984 and has over 40 years’ experience in financial services, including more than 30 years focused on listed investment companies. During his career, Mr Crinage has held roles across business management, client management, product development and distribution, as well as extensive capital markets experience including IPOs, secondary fundraisings, M&A, discount management and market positioning strategies. He was also Head of Marketing & Communications for Europe, covering both institutional and retail clients, and spent five years with Jardine Fleming developing its mutual fund businesses in Hong Kong, Japan and Malaysia.
Mr Crinage was previously a director at The Association of Investment Companies, a position he held until January 2023. He has no other directorships.

A resolution proposing the election of Mr Crinage as Non-executive Director will be put to shareholders at the Annual General Meeting to be held in 2027.
