Jubilee Metals has reported higher copper production in Zambia as its Roan and Molefe operations move closer to supporting larger-scale output.
For the nine months to 31 March 2026, saleable copper production increased by 28.7% to 2,177 tonnes, up from 1,691 tonnes a year earlier. Roan was the main contributor, with production rising 112.7% to 1,999 tonnes of copper units.
The Sable Refinery also improved, producing 957 tonnes of copper cathode compared with 751 tonnes in the prior period.
Roan remains the main near-term focus. Its expanded copper concentrate facility is close to completion, with the dewatered fine copper concentrate circuit operating at around 75% of its target rate. The company expects the circuit to reach targeted production during May.
Once fully ramped up, the circuit is expected to process historical stockpiles while also producing additional copper concentrate. This is important because it should lift throughput and improve the reliability of Jubilee’s copper production base.
At Molefe, Jubilee is accelerating mining work to support future feed to Sable. The company mined 250,162 tonnes of ore during the period and transported 20,064 tonnes to Sable at an average copper grade of 1.84%.
The company is also combining Pits 2 and 3 into one larger open pit. That work is expected to be completed by July 2026. Once complete, Molefe should be better positioned to provide consistent run-of-mine material to support Jubilee’s copper growth plan.
