Cora Gold drilling extends Sanankoro beyond current resource model

Cora Gold Ltd

Cora Gold has reported new drilling results from its Sanankoro gold project in Mali that extend mineralisation beyond the current resource model and support the potential for future resource growth.

Initial assays from the 2026 programme include 34 metres at 6.78 grams per tonne of gold, including 9 metres at 23.91 grams per tonne. A separate hole returned 22 metres at 2.24 grams per tonne from 12 metres depth. Several of the latest intersections sit outside the existing mineral resource model at Zone B. That gives Cora scope to test whether the known mineralised system extends further than currently defined.

Zone B remains relatively lightly drilled at depth despite its broad mineralised widths and extensive strike length. Further drilling will be required before any new mineralisation can be incorporated into an updated resource estimate, but the first assays indicate that the current model does not capture all of the gold identified by drilling.

Cora had completed 10,656 metres of a planned 12,000-metre drilling campaign when the first results were released. The reported assays covered only 1,272 metres, meaning a large proportion of the programme remains to be reported.

Results are still expected from Selin, Dakounkoura South, Zone A and Zone C. These assays will be important in determining whether the resource expansion potential identified at Zone B is also present elsewhere across the project.

Sanankoro currently contains a mineral resource of about 1.04 million ounces of gold. The existing development plan is based principally on the Selin, Zone A and Zone B deposits, giving the company a defined project base while exploration continues around and beyond the current resource.

Cora is advancing the project on two fronts. The drilling programme is testing the potential to increase the known resource, while engineering and permitting work continue towards construction readiness. Front-end engineering design is under way and is targeted for completion during the second half of 2026. This work is intended to provide greater definition around detailed project design, construction requirements and long-lead equipment.

Cora Gold Ltd (LON:CORA), together with its subsidiaries, explores for and develops mineral projects in West Africa. The company primarily explores for gold deposits. Its flagship project is the Sanankoro Gold project located in the Yanfolila Gold Belt, Southern Mali.
