Cizzle Bio expands the clinical pathway for CIZ1B Lung Cancer testing

CIZ

Cizzle Bio is establishing a structured ordering pathway for its CIZ1B Biomarker Blood Test for Lung Cancer, giving licensed healthcare providers in the Dallas-Fort Worth and San Antonio metropolitan areas a defined process for gaining access to the test.

The ordering framework is significant because it moves CIZ1B beyond clinical awareness and towards a repeatable provider workflow. Healthcare professionals can begin by setting up a provider account, after which they receive onboarding instructions covering access to the provider portal, specimen collection, shipping, expected turnaround and the process for receiving results. Once onboarding has been completed, providers can place orders through the portal and access test results.

CIZ1B is designed to provide an additional biomarker-based data point that may support lung cancer assessment. It is intended to be considered alongside established clinical information, including patient history, symptoms, risk factors, low-dose computed tomography, other imaging and additional testing where appropriate.

Cizzle Bio is positioning the blood test as a complementary tool that can contribute additional information within the existing lung cancer assessment process. This approach may reduce the implementation risk associated with requiring clinicians to replace established diagnostic pathways.

Providers may consider CIZ1B in several clinical circumstances, including patients with lung cancer risk factors, symptoms requiring further assessment, imaging findings that need additional clinical context, indeterminate pulmonary nodules and occupational or environmental exposures. The company also identifies potential use among screening-eligible patients who are unwilling or unable to undergo low-dose CT, as well as for longitudinal surveillance when clinically appropriate.

The current geographical availability of the test provides a defined initial market in which Cizzle Bio can establish provider relationships and develop practical experience with ordering, specimen handling and results delivery. Licensed healthcare providers in Dallas-Fort Worth and San Antonio can begin the account setup and onboarding process before placing orders.

Cizzle Biotechnology Holdings plc (LON:CIZ) is a pioneering cancer diagnostics company, originally a spin-out from the University of York, and now listed on the London Stock Exchange.
