Champion Health targets workplace absence with digital MSK triage

Physitrack plc

Champion Health is using digital musculoskeletal (MSK) triage to help employers identify health problems earlier, speed up access to treatment and reduce sickness absence.

Work-related musculoskeletal disorders accounted for an estimated 7.1 million lost working days in Great Britain during 2024/25.

The company’s Nexa platform allows employees to complete digital MSK assessments and receive personalised care recommendations. A registered physiotherapist reviews each assessment before treatment is assigned.

Employees can receive guidance and access appropriate treatment more quickly, with referrals to GPs or other healthcare professionals where required.

Employers can also access anonymised workforce data to monitor MSK-related absence, treatment times and recurring conditions without accessing individual clinical information.

Champion Health recommends tracking lost working days, time to treatment and repeat absences to measure the impact of early intervention.

The platform aims to reduce delays in treatment, help employees manage symptoms and limit the costs associated with prolonged workplace absence.

Physitrack plc (PTRK.ST), together with its subsidiaries, provides digital healthcare solutions in the United Kingdom, Europe, North America, and internationally. It operates through two segments, Lifecare and Wellness.
