Cerillion plc (LON:CER), the billing, charging and customer relationship management software solutions provider, has announced that its technology has enabled MVN-X, South Africa’s leading telecommunications enabler and part of Ignition Group, one of Africa’s largest providers of technology, media, telecommunication and financial services, to reach one million subscribers across its portfolio of customers.

MVN-X supports 18 South African mobile virtual network operators (“MVNOs”), including Standard Chartered Bank, Mr Price and Pick n Pay, and other leading brands, retailers and corporates, providing them with critical infrastructure, operating systems and support services.

MVN-X implemented Cerillion’s Convergent Charging System and Enterprise Product Catalogue modules, from the Company’s Enterprise BSS/OSS suite, in order to dramatically reduce the complexity of onboarding and launching new customers, and to streamline operations. Cerillion’s technology has enabled MVN-X to compete head-to-head with the most innovative of mobile network operators, and MVN-X is also now providing greater mobile coverage and choice for its customers.

Valde Ferradaz, Chief Executive Officer at MVN-X, said:

“Previously, our delivery of mobile virtual network operator projects was constrained by our charging system provider. Now with Cerillion, we are empowered to manage the complete platform ourselves, making it much easier for us to launch new MVNOs. With Cerillion as our trusted partner, our portfolio of MVNOs in South Africa is growing rapidly, and I am excited by the opportunities we have to expand into new markets across the region.”

Louis Hall, Chief Executive Officer at Cerillion plc, said:

“The speed with which MVN-X is now able to onboard new MVNOs and grow its subscriber base is transformational. This is testament to the flexibility and scalability of the Cerillion product suite, and we are delighted to be helping MVN-X to deliver on its business plan.”

Cerillion has a 22-year track record in providing mission-critical software for billing, charging and customer relationship management (“CRM”), mainly to the telecommunications sector but also to other markets, including utilities and financial services. The Company has c. 80 customer installations across c. 45 countries.

Headquartered in London, Cerillion has operations in Pune, India, where its Global Solutions Centre is located, as well as operations in Bulgaria, USA and Australia.

The business was originally part of Logica plc before its management buyout, led by CEO, Louis Hall, in 1999. The Company joined AIM in March 2016.
