Avingtrans subsidiary Adaptix has appointed Spartan Medical as the exclusive federal government reseller of its Ortho350 portable 3D imaging system in the United States.
The agreement gives Adaptix a dedicated sales route into US Department of Veterans Affairs medical centres, military treatment facilities and other federal healthcare organisations.
Federal healthcare procurement is a specialist market, and Spartan Medical already works within that system. The partnership gives Adaptix access to an established federal sales channel without having to build the same capability internally.
Spartan Medical is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business focused on supplying medical technologies to federal healthcare customers. Its role will be to market and resell the Ortho350 across the federal government healthcare sector.
The Ortho350 is a portable 3D orthopaedic imaging system based on low-dose tomosynthesis technology. Adaptix says the system can provide high-resolution 3D images of bone and soft tissue while using a lower radiation dose than conventional CT imaging.
Portability is a central part of the product’s positioning. The Ortho350 is designed to bring 3D imaging closer to the patient rather than relying on fixed CT equipment. This could be useful in hospitals, military treatment centres and outpatient facilities where access to conventional imaging infrastructure may be limited or less convenient.
Spartan Medical says the system can produce 3D imaging results in the examination room in under 20 seconds, with a radiation dose comparable with plain-film imaging. This combination of speed, portability and lower radiation exposure supports the case for use in clinical environments where fast access to imaging is important.
