RM Unify strengthens its role in school digital infrastructure

RM Unify is continuing to develop as a central platform for identity management, secure access and digital administration across schools and multi-academy trusts. The latest updates indicate a clear focus on automation, control and resilience, all of which are relevant to investors assessing how education technology providers are responding to operational pressure within schools.

The platform is designed to help schools manage access to digital resources across multiple sites. That positioning matters because trusts increasingly need systems that reduce manual administration, support consistent security practices and work across varied school environments.

One of the most relevant developments is the expansion of MIS integration. RM Unify now supports a wider range of management information system providers, including Arbor MAT MIS, GO4schools and Compass. Schools and trusts often operate with different systems, particularly after growth, merger or consolidation.

The update to Google Groups provisioning also strengthens the automation case. RM Unify can now create and manage Google Groups using MIS data, reducing the need for manual updates to mailing lists and classroom groups. Staff time, accuracy and consistency are persistent challenges in school IT administration. Automating these processes can support customer retention by embedding the platform more deeply into everyday workflows.

The addition of Teams Assignments weekly digest functionality introduces a parental engagement angle, allowing schools to send automated updates to parents through the platform.
