RM Technology partners with Dell and Ingram to upgrade school IT infrastructure

RM Technology has partnered with Dell and Ingram to help schools and multi-academy trusts modernise their IT infrastructure and support digital learning.

The partnership combines RM Technology’s education sector expertise, Ingram’s distribution and supply-chain services, and Dell’s hardware and cloud capabilities.

The collaboration aims to address challenges facing schools, including ageing IT systems, fragmented networks, cyber security risks and increasing demands for digital learning.

Under the partnership, RM Technology leads the managed service provision, while Ingram handles hardware distribution, pre-deployment configuration and delivery. Dell supplies computing devices, infrastructure and cloud technology.

The implementation process includes reviewing existing IT systems, upgrading servers and networks, deploying pre-configured hardware and introducing centralised security, filtering and identity management.

Work is scheduled around school holidays to minimise disruption to teaching.

The partnership is intended to provide schools and multi-academy trusts with more integrated, secure and scalable IT systems as digital learning becomes increasingly central to education.

RM plc (LON:RM) is a global EdTech provider of learning and assessment solutions, supporting the full learning journey, from early years through to higher education and professional qualifications.
