RM links school phone system with core management and safeguarding platforms

RM has introduced new integrations for its cloud telephony platform that connect the system directly with widely used school management and safeguarding software. The update links RM Voice with Arbor, Bromcom and CPOMS, allowing staff to access pupil information and record safeguarding incidents without leaving the phone interface.

The development is designed to reduce the need for staff to move between separate systems when handling calls. In many schools, administrative teams deal with large volumes of communication from parents and carers. Accessing the correct pupil record during these interactions can require several steps across different platforms. RM’s integration aims to simplify this process by presenting key information automatically when a call takes place.

When a call is received or made through RM Voice, the system can display relevant contact and pupil details pulled directly from the school’s management information system. Staff are able to identify the caller immediately and view associated records during the conversation. From the same interface they can open the corresponding profile in Arbor or Bromcom, allowing them to check attendance, contact information or other relevant details while speaking to the caller.

The feature is intended to improve the efficiency of routine administrative work. School offices frequently handle calls relating to attendance, absences, permissions and general queries. Having pupil data visible at the point of communication reduces the time spent searching for information and helps ensure calls are linked to the correct records.
