Quadrise moves towards a stronger commercial proof point

Quadrise plc

Quadrise now has a clearer opportunity to turn years of fuel technology development into practical commercial evidence. With cash available and no debt on the last reported balance sheet, the company has the financial room to advance key trials and show that its technology can support a larger commercial role in shipping, power generation and heavy industry.

The company’s position is attractive because the next stage is focused on validation rather than concept. Quadrise has already developed MSAR, an oil-in-water emulsion fuel made from heavy residual oils, water and specialist additives. The result is a lower-viscosity fuel designed to be easier to handle than conventional heavy fuel oil. Its bioMSAR product builds on the same platform by using waste-based renewable biofuels to replace part of the fossil fuel content.

That gives Quadrise a practical route into markets where operators face pressure to reduce emissions without abandoning existing infrastructure overnight. Marine shipping, power generation and industrial users all need solutions that can balance cost, reliability and environmental performance. Quadrise’s technology is positioned directly in that space, offering a potential bridge between current fuel systems and lower-carbon alternatives.

The near-term focus is on commercial trials, including marine work connected to MSC and Cargill and a power project in Panama. These milestones could be important because they are designed to move the story beyond technical development and into real operating environments. If the fuel performs as intended, the company would have stronger evidence to support customer discussions and future commercial agreements.

Quadrise plc (LON:QED) is an energy technology provider whose solutions enable production of cheaper, cleaner, simpler and safer alternatives to fuel oil and biofuels, proven in real world applications. Quadrise technologies produce transition fuels called MSAR® and bioMSAR™, which allow clients in the shipping, utilities and industrial sectors to reduce carbon emissions whilst also saving costs.
