Nuformix appoints Tim Metcalfe as Non-Executive Chairman

Nuformix plc (LON:NFX), a pharmaceutical development company targeting unmet medical needs in fibrosis and oncology via drug repurposing, has announced the appointment of Tim Metcalfe as Non-Executive Chairman and a Director with effect from 1 September 2026.

Julian Gilbert, the current Non-Executive Chairman, has decided to step down from the Board on 31 August 2026 for personal reasons, but he will remain available to the company in a consultancy capacity, providing continuity and access to his considerable sector knowledge and experience.

Tim is a highly experienced corporate financier and company adviser, having spent over 30 years in a variety of senior City and corporate roles. He has held senior positions at Robert Fleming, Rothschild, Westhouse Securities, Northland Capital Partners and he was Joint CEO of Zeus Capital, prior to co-founding IFC Advisory, an investor relations and financial PR adviser, in 2015. During his career, Tim has had a particular focus on advising companies on strategy, M&A, capital markets and regulatory matters.

In addition to his role as Managing Director of IFC Advisory, Tim is Senior Independent Non-Executive Director of The Investment Company plc, an investment trust listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange, and Non-Executive Chairman of Equipmake Holdings plc, which is listed on Aquis. He is also a director of a number of private companies.

Dr Julian Gilbert, outgoing Non-Executive Chairman of Nuformix, commented: “I am very pleased that Tim has agreed to become Chairman of Nuformix.
