Natural gas positioning reveals a shift below the surface

Diversified Energy Company

U.S. natural gas is entering winter with a clear set of tailwinds. Demand is rising as colder weather moves in, pushing heating needs higher across key regions. At the same time, liquefied natural gas exports are ramping up, with October flows to export terminals reaching 16.5 billion cubic feet per day, up from 15.7 billion the month before.

Inventories remain healthy, with storage levels 5.5% above the five-year average and slightly higher than last year. That should keep near-term prices in check. Europe continues to rely on U.S. LNG to offset tighter Russian supplies, and Asian buyers are back in the market, lifting overall export visibility.

Diversified Energy Company plc (LON:DEC) is an independent energy company engaged in the production, marketing, transportation and retirement of primarily natural gas and natural gas liquids related to its U.S. onshore upstream and midstream assets.
