MeyGen will step into a more visible industry setting in late April when Fraser Johnson, Director of Operations & Assets, appears as a speaker at the 6th Annual Subsea Cable Installation, Asset Management & Reliability Forum in Amsterdam. F

Johnson’s inclusion in the speaker line-up puts MeyGen in front of an audience that is closely aligned with the practical demands of offshore infrastructure. Johnson is the Operations & Asset Manager for the MeyGen tidal energy project in Scotland, with responsibility for maintaining reliable turbine performance in the Pentland Firth. The key point is the operational milestone highlighted in the event material: one turbine is said to have passed seven years of uninterrupted operation without maintenance.
