Majestic Wine launches app to drive customer engagement and store visits

itim Group

Majestic Wine has launched a new mobile app designed to increase customer engagement, strengthen loyalty and encourage more customers to interact with their local stores.

The retailer already had a mobile website, so the purpose of the new app is not simply to give customers another way to shop. Instead, the app is designed to create a direct and ongoing relationship with customers.

Customers can receive personalised product recommendations, promotions, offers and event notifications through the app. They can also track loyalty points, access digital vouchers and coupons, create wish lists, save baskets and view products available at their local Majestic store.

The app also connects online shopping with physical stores. Customers can check local stock, place Click & Collect orders and track their purchases. This gives customers a direct way to see what is available at their nearest store before deciding whether to visit.

Product reviews and ratings provide another way for customers to interact with the platform, while exclusive app-only appointments give customers additional reasons to use the app.

A concierge feature also allows customers to chat with a personal shopper in-store. This brings an additional level of service into the digital experience and gives customers a way to communicate with their local store.

Customer preferences and previous purchases can be used to provide more relevant recommendations and offers, rather than sending the same promotions to every customer.
