Jupiter Fund Management plc Appoint Wayne Mepham as Chief Financial Officer

Jupiter Fund Management plc (LON:JUP) today announced the appointment of Wayne Mepham as Chief Financial Officer subject to customary regulatory approvals. Wayne will take up the role on September 2nd 2019 and will also join the Company’s Board and Executive Committee.

Wayne is a qualified Chartered Accountant with over 23 years’ experience in the financial services sector. He is currently the Global Head of Finance at Schroders plc, the FTSE 100 asset management group, where he has worked for the past nine years. Prior to Schroders, Wayne held a number of senior roles at PwC where he worked with many of the firm’s asset management, insurance and banking clients.

This appointment is made following the announcement in February 2019 of Charlotte Jones’ intention to step down from her role to take up the position of CFO at RSA Insurance Group plc. Charlotte will remain with Jupiter until 30 July 2019.

Andrew Formica, Chief Executive of Jupiter, commented: “I am very pleased that Wayne is joining us. He has a long and successful track record in financial services and in particular, has deep experience of the asset management industry from both a domestic and global perspective. He is a strong leader with a wide range of relevant expertise including technical accounting, regulation and commercial development and I have no doubt that he will be an excellent addition to our team.

“I would also like to thank Charlotte and the rest of the finance team for their continued efforts, particularly in helping plan for a smooth transition to her successor.”

Wayne Mepham added: “I am very excited by this opportunity. Jupiter has a great team, clear strategic direction and an incredibly strong brand, but with significant potential to grow its franchise further, and I very much look forward to getting started.”
