Herald Investment Trust Plc (LON:HRI) has announced the appointment of Joanne Parfrey as an independent non-executive director and Audit Committee Chair designate with effect from 1 July 2026. Ms Parfrey will succeed Stephanie Eastment as Audit Committee Chair on 1 October 2026. Ms Eastment will remain on the Board as a non-executive Director to provide continuity to the Board together with a managed handover of audit responsibilities.
Ms Parfrey is currently a non-executive director of Worldwide Healthcare Trust plc and the non-executive chair of Octopus AIM VCT plc.
She is an experienced investor with a background in private equity with LGV Capital Partners Limited, where she was on the board. Joanne has experience of global investment trusts having formerly been a non-executive director and chair of the audit committee of Henderson International Income Trust plc. Ms Parfrey studied chemistry at Oxford University and is a Chartered Accountant by training.
As at the date of this announcement Ms Parfrey was beneficially interested in 1,000 shares of the Company.
No further information in respect of Ms Parfrey is required to be disclosed pursuant to UK Listing Rule 6.4.8R (1) to (6).
The Board also notes that Henrietta Marsh will not be standing for re-election at the Company’s forthcoming AGM on 30 June 2026. The Board would like to thank Ms Marsh very much for her valuable contribution to the Company. Christopher Metcalfe will succeed Ms Marsh as Senior Independent Director from the conclusion of the AGM.
