Great Portland Estates secures 10th AI customer with Vanta at Kent House

Great Portland Estates

Great Portland Estates plc (LON:GPE) has announced that it has reinforced its growing role as a landlord of choice for AI-powered businesses by securing its latest Fully Managed letting with Vanta, a leading compliance automation and trust management platform, for 7,500 sq ft at Kent House, W1.

Vanta becomes GPE’s 10th AI-led customer, nine of which have taken Fully Managed deals, joining a diverse community of innovative businesses across its portfolio. AI-related customers now represent 7.1% of GPE’s total office portfolio or 18.5% of its Fully Managed offices.

The UK AI sector has experienced rapid growth, employing an estimated 86,000 people and generating £23.9 billion in annual revenue1. Within this landscape, London has firmly positioned itself as a global powerhouse for AI innovation, now home to over 1,600 startups. In 2024, London-based AI companies raised £2.7 billion, bringing total AI-investment to £9.9 billion over the past five years, or 71% of all UK AI funding2. This growth is driven by London’s unique blend of world-class universities, deep tech expertise, and access to venture capital, positioning the city at the forefront of AI innovation.

Toby Courtauld, Chief Executive at GPE, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Vanta to their new Fully Managed space at Kent House. AI is reshaping how we work, and London sits at the centre of this transformation. Our Fully Managed buildings in prime London locations provide the flexibility and ease of occupation that fast-growing businesses like Vanta need. While the rise of AI may reduce global demand for office space, we believe premium workspaces in globally significant cities will remain magnets for top-tier AI talent and businesses and London is exceptionally well placed to benefit.”
