Drax adds interactive map to Biomass Tracker

Drax Group plc

Drax has added an interactive map to its Biomass Tracker, allowing users to explore where its woody biomass is sourced and how it moves through the supply chain.

The map provides geographical information on sourcing locations, processing facilities and transportation routes. Users can examine how biomass travels by road, rail and sea, alongside information on associated carbon emissions.

The tracker also includes details of the countries and US states where Drax sources biomass, the types of fibre used and the company’s biomass sourcing policy.

Launched in January 2026, the Biomass Tracker provides information on the journey of woody biomass from its origin through processing, transportation and storage to its use at Drax Power Station or by third-party customers.

The latest update makes this information easier to navigate through a geographical view of the supply chain. Drax has also added first-quarter 2026 data, following completion of its internal reporting and assurance processes. Second-quarter data is expected to be added in a subsequent update.

Drax Group plc (LON:DRX), trading as Drax, is a power generation business. The principal downstream enterprises are based in the UK and include Drax Power Limited, which runs the biomass fuelled Drax power station, near Selby in North Yorkshire.
