British Land confirms Joanne McNamara CEO start date

Following the announcement on 2 June 2026 that Joanne McNamara will succeed Simon Carter as Chief Executive Officer, British Land Company plc (LON:BLND) has confirmed that Joanne will join as CEO and Executive Director on 14 September 2026.

Simon Carter will step down from the Board and leave British Land on 31 August 2026. David Walker, Chief Financial Officer, will assume leadership responsibilities in the short interim period between Simon’s departure and Joanne’s start date.

In addition, British Land will move into its new head office at 20 Triton Street, Regent’s Place, on 8 July 2026.
