Balfour Beatty Make Strong Addition to the Board with Gabrielle Costigan

Balfour Beatty Plc (LON:BBY), the international infrastructure group, have today announced that Gabrielle (Gabby) Costigan MBE has been appointed as a Non-Executive Director with effect from 8 March 2024.

Following Balfour Beatty’s Annual General Meeting on 9 May, Gabby will succeed Stuart Doughty CMG as Chair of the Safety & Sustainability Committee, as Stuart steps down from the Board following nine-years as a Non-Executive Director.

Gabby is an Aeronautical Engineer with a diverse international career including 21 years in the Australian Army. She was previously Chief Executive Officer of the logistics business, Linfox International Group. In 2017, she joined BAE Systems plc as Chief Executive Officer of BAE Systems Australia before being promoted to her current role of Group Managing Director, Business Development and a member of the Executive Committee.

Under his stewardship, the Company has made significant improvements to its health and safety performance and in advancing its sustainability endeavours.
