BAE Systems appoints Michelle Hinchliffe as non-executive director

BAE Systems Plc (LON:BA) has announced the appointment of Michelle Hinchliffe as a non-executive director with effect from 1 September 2026. Ms Hinchliffe will also become a member of the Audit and Risk Committee from the same date.

Ms Hinchliffe is currently a non-executive director of BHP Group Limited and Macquarie Group Limited. She is an experienced audit and governance leader, best known for a long career at KPMG in both the UK and Australia, culminating in senior leadership roles, including membership of the KPMG UK Board. Her Board work as a non-executive director spans significant UK and Australian financial and industrial companies and she brings deep expertise in financial reporting and risk governance, as well as in wider board matters.
