Aviva targets £500m wealth operating profit by 2032

Aviva Plc | AV

Aviva plc (LON:AV) is today hosting the next in our series of ‘In Focus’ investor and analyst briefings. Today’s event is focused on Aviva’s Wealth business.

The event, which commences at 9:00am (BST), will be hosted by Amanda Blanc, Group CEO, and presented by Doug Brown, CEO, Insurance, Wealth & Retirement, and Michele Golunska, MD Wealth.

The UK wealth market is a major growth opportunity and central to Aviva’s long-term strategy.

Aviva has delivered a strong performance in its Wealth business since the last Wealth ‘In Focus’ briefing in 2023. We are on track for our ambition of £280m of Wealth operating profit by 2027 and we expect to achieve greater than £500m by 2032.

  • The UK wealth market is set to grow at more than 10% per annum1. By 2035, the asset pool is expected to reach £7.5tn, with an associated profit pool of around £10bn2.
  • New technology, including the use of AI, and new regulation, such as the Pension Schemes Act 2026 and Targeted Support, are creating exciting new opportunities for growth in a changing UK wealth market.
  • Aviva is uniquely positioned to capitalise on these trends. We are already the number one Wealth player in the UK by assets, with £261bn, and nearly six million Wealth customers. Our trusted brand, unrivalled UK customer base of 21.8m, proprietary data and lifetime customer wealth offering give us a clear competitive advantage.
  • Aviva has already made strong progress in Wealth. We have delivered a consistently strong performance, driven by our Workplace and Adviser Platform propositions where we have significant scale, with operating profit doubling since 2019, and we have an ambition to deliver greater than £500m of Wealth operating profit by 2032.
  • In addition, Aviva has potential to deliver further organic growth beyond this, through expanding our Direct Wealth, Advice and Targeted Support propositions.

Today’s presentation and analyst Q&A will be live-streamed on www.aviva.com, and a recording will be made available on the website shortly after the event. Presentation slides will be released on Aviva’s website shortly before the event.
