Auto Trader announces acquisition of KeeResources Limited

Auto Trader  (LON:AUTO), the UK’s largest automotive marketplace, today announced the acquisition of KeeResources Limited (‘KeeResources’) for an undisclosed sum.    

Founded in 2000, KeeResources is a trusted provider of software solutions, data and services to the automotive industry, including a detailed vehicle taxonomy dataset for new and used cars which Auto Trader uses to power its platform.  

Auto Trader CEO-Designate, Nathan Coe, said: “KeeResources has been an integral supplier to Auto Trader, as their unique vehicle taxonomy data underpins much of our core platform. Strategically we believe it’s important to own and develop such a valuable data source.”

KeeResources annual revenue and Operating profit for the financial year ending December 2018 was £5.5m and £0.8m respectively.
