Alien Metals Limited (LON:UFO), a minerals exploration and development company, has noted that GreenTech Metals Limited (ASX: GRE), in which Alien holds 37.9 million shares representing approximately 10% of the issued share capital, has announced further diamond drilling results at its 100%-owned Whundo copper-zinc-gold project in the West Pilbara, Western Australia.
Highlights:
| • | Yannery: 11.6m @ 0.9% Cu, 1.2% Zn and 2.2 g/t Ag from 68.5m (26GTDD014). Yannery lies outside the current Whundo Mineral Resource. |
| • | Austin — at surface: 7m @ 2.5% Cu, 20.7 g/t Ag and 0.1 g/t Au from surface; and 3m @ 1.9% Cu, 10.6 g/t Ag and 0.5 g/t Au from 22m (26GTDD017). |
| • | Austin — deeper: 1.5m @ 2.6% Cu, 0.7% Zn, 7.0 g/t Ag and 0.1 g/t Au from 257.6m; and 1.3m @ 1.8% Cu, 4.5 g/t Ag and 0.4 g/t Au from 263.6m (26GTDD018). |
| • | The results highlight potential for further mineralisation to be considered in future resource modelling. Whundo currently hosts a JORC 2012 Mineral Resource of 6.2Mt @ 1.12% Cu and 1.04% Zn. |
| • | GreenTech expects assay results from a further eight drill holes in November 2026. |
Alien Metals’ exposure
In addition to its approximately 10% equity investment in GreenTech, Alien retains a separate 30% joint venture interest in the adjacent Munni Munni PGE-copper-nickel project, free-carried to completion of a bankable feasibility study. The Whundo project is owned by GreenTech; Alien’s exposure to Whundo is through its GreenTech shareholding.
Vince Fayad, Executive Director of Alien Metals, commented:
“The latest Yannery and Austin results provide further evidence of the resource growth potential at Whundo, including additional near-surface copper mineralisation. Our shareholding in GreenTech gives Alien shareholders continuing exposure to this exploration progress, alongside our separate 30% interest in Munni Munni. We look forward to further drilling results.”
