Zotefoams joins RECOUP to support sustainable use of plastics

ZTF

Zotefoams plc (LON:ZTF), a world leader in cellular materials technology, has joined RECOUP, the UK’s leading independent authority and trusted voice on plastics resource efficiency and recycling.

With a network of over 180 organisations, RECOUP and its members are committed to advancing the circularity of the plastics value chain by developing the sustainable use of plastics, increasing plastics recycling, and improving the environmental performance of materials.

Zotefoams prioritises key markets where there is the greatest opportunity to improve circularity or reduce reliance on fossil fuel-derived raw materials and innovates within this space. This drive for sustainable development matches the commitments of RECOUP and its membership base.

Zotefoams’ latest sustainable innovation, ReZorce® Circular Packaging, is the subject of a Joint Development Agreement with a major global player in beverage packaging and trials with a major European retailer, replacing Liquid Packaging Board (LPB) for juice cartons, are planned for early this year. ReZorce provides a solution which is recyclable via standard recycling streams and has a significantly lower environmental impact, with a patented multi-layer structure which enables recycled plastic to be incorporated within its core.

David Stirling, Zotefoams Group CEO, comments, “We’re delighted to have joined the RECOUP membership base so that we can collaborate with fellow members and support the sustainable use of plastics.”
