Uranium is becoming more important as governments and companies look for dependable electricity that can support economic growth, electrification and expanding data centre demand.
Nuclear power provides continuous generation and does not depend on weather conditions. That gives it a clear role alongside wind, solar and energy storage. It can support grid stability while also helping countries reduce emissions from power generation.
Energy security is another major driver. Nuclear fuel contains a large amount of energy in a small volume, is relatively easy to transport and can be stored at power stations for long periods. This reduces reliance on constant fuel deliveries and limits exposure to short-term supply disruptions.
These features are strengthening the case for further nuclear development. New reactor construction, extensions to the operating lives of existing plants and possible reactor restarts could all increase uranium demand.
