Touchstone Exploration has brought the Carapal Ridge 3 well online at its Central block gas facility, adding new production and further increasing throughput from infrastructure already in place. The well is flowing gas and condensate as it continues to recover drilling and completion fluids, giving the company immediate additional volumes while it works through the clean-up phase.
Since acquiring the Central block, Touchstone has lifted gross gas throughput from about 16 MMcf/d to 19 MMcf/d through optimisation work. With CR-3 now online, that figure has increased again to around 21.5 MMcf/d. During clean-up, the well has shown intermittent peak rates of up to 5.7 MMcf/d.
Management is focused on filling spare processing capacity with targeted drilling and allocating capital towards the highest-priced available gas sales. CR-3 fits both aims. It adds production quickly and supports Touchstone’s move into LNG-linked gas marketing following the Central block acquisition.
The next important catalyst is the Cascadura facility booster compressor. It has completed run testing in Houston and is now on its way to Trinidad, with arrival expected in April 2026 and commissioning targeted for May 2026.
