Time Finance adds broker expertise to support lending growth strategy

Time Finance

Time Finance has strengthened its Asset Finance division with the appointment of Lucy Oakenfull as broker manager, adding further relationship-led experience to a part of the business that remains relevant to its growth strategy and intermediary distribution model.

The appointment is focused on broker relationships across the South and South East, where Oakenfull will work with introducers to support small and medium-sized enterprises seeking asset finance solutions. Broker networks remain an important route to origination in specialist SME lending. Strengthening coverage in defined regional markets can help improve access to new opportunities, support deal flow and deepen the lender’s visibility among intermediaries that influence funding decisions.

Oakenfull joins Time Finance with more than 11 years of experience in business finance. Her background includes relationship management at Paragon Bank, a business development manager role at Dawson Group and four years as regional sales director at Praetura Asset Finance. That mix of relationship, sales and asset finance experience gives Time Finance additional sector knowledge at a point when the company is working towards expanding its lending portfolio to £300m by 2028.

The appointment also underlines the company’s emphasis on specialist lending relationships rather than volume growth alone. In asset finance, the ability to understand borrower requirements, assess funding structures and maintain broker confidence can influence both the quality and consistency of new business. For a lender serving SMEs, experienced broker-facing staff can also help manage risk by ensuring applications are better matched to appropriate funding options before they progress through the credit process.
