Completion of Beatrice offshore wind farm disposal
- Completion of the sale of TRIG’s entire 17.5% equity stake in the Beatrice offshore wind farm
- Proceeds have been used to reduce borrowings under the Company’s Revolving Credit Facility (“RCF”) to £184m
TRIG announces that the sale of its entire 17.5% equity interest in the 588MW Beatrice offshore wind farm project in Scotland for a total consideration of £157m, first announced on 15 June 2026, has completed following receipt of the relevant third-party consents. The sale proceeds are being applied to reduce borrowings under the Company’s RCF to £184m.
This completed sale represents c. 40% of the Company’s 12-month £400m capital realisation target set out at the Capital Markets Seminar in May 2026. The transaction also removes c. £210m of project-level borrowings attributable to TRIG’s percentage shareholding of Beatrice, contributing to a reduction in aggregate Group borrowings by c. £365m to c. £1.7bn or 43% of enterprise value1.
Further divestment processes remain underway, with capital when realised to be deployed in line with the Board’s capital allocation priorities of reducing RCF borrowings, returning capital to shareholders and investing in higher-returning proprietary opportunities within TRIG’s existing portfolio, where they exceed the hurdle rate set by share buybacks.
1 TRIG’s enterprise value is the sum of the Company’s Net Asset Value, RCF drawings, private placement debt and project-level debt.
