Sirius Real Estate appoint Chris Bowman as Chief Financial Officer

Sirius Real Estate Plc (LON:SRE), the leading owner and operator of branded business and industrial parks providing conventional space and flexible workspace in Germany and the U.K., has announced the appointment of Chris Bowman as Chief Financial Officer (“CFO”).

Chris brings nearly 25 years’ accounting, finance and capital markets experience. Most recently Chris led the U.K. investment banking arm of Berenberg, a business division which he was brought in to build from new eight years ago and has grown to become one of the UK’s leading mid-market public company advisers.

Prior to this, Chris spent seven years in investment banking at Liberum, before which he worked in corporate finance at Canaccord and Credit Lyonnais. Chris qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG in 2000.

Chris’ appointment becomes effective on 29 August 2023, at which time he will also join the Sirius Board.

Upon Chris’ arrival, Alistair Marks, Sirius’ interim CFO (and former CFO), will resume his focus fully on his role as Chief Investment Officer, which he has held since January 2021.  Alistair will also step down from the Sirius Board at this year’s AGM on 10th July, remaining employed by the Company to lead its investment strategy across Germany and the U.K..
