Rightmove appoints Rosemary Leith and David Thomas to Board

Rightmove plc (LON:RMV), the UK’s number one property portal, has announced two Board appointments: Rosemary Leith as Senior Independent Director, and David Thomas as an Independent Non-Executive Director.

Rosemary will join the Board on 1st October 2026 as a Non-Executive Director and will be appointed as the Senior Independent Director on 1st January 2027. David Thomas will join the Board as a Non-Executive Director on 1st January 2027. Rosemary and David will each serve on Rightmove’s Audit, Remuneration, Nomination and CSR Committees.

The Company also confirms the retirements of Jacqueline de Rojas, current Senior Independent Director, on 31st December 2026 and of Amit Tiwari, Non-Executive Director, on 30th September 2026.

Rosemary Leith – Senior Independent Director

Rosemary Leith brings to the Board an extensive knowledge of digital, governance and both operating executive and non-executive experience. Rosemary is a Fellow, Harvard University’s Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society and previously held Non-Executive Director roles at HSBC UK Bank plc, with responsibility for Digital; YouGov plc, where she served as Senior Independent Director, Remuneration Committee Chair, and a member of the Audit Committee;  Non-Executive Director and Chair of the Risk Committee and Member of Audit and Remuneration Committees at ICG plc (Intermediate Capital Group) and is currently a member of the board of Proton AG, based in Geneva. Rosemary’s earlier executive career included Private Equity and Digital Content, and she continues to advise and invest in multiple global technology businesses. Rosemary co-founded the World Wide Web Foundation in 2009, is a Trustee of BAFTA and Member of the Board of the International Business School IMD, based in Switzerland.

David Thomas – Independent Non-Executive Director

David Thomas has been the Group Chief Executive of Barratt Redrow plc, the UK’s largest housebuilder, since 2015, having joined Barratt as Group Finance Director in 2009. He led Barratt through its £2.5 billion merger with Redrow in 2024, and announced his retirement as Group CEO in March 2026, stepping down from the role on 21st September 2026 but remaining with the business in an advisory capacity until March 2027. He has been a Non-Executive Director of the Home Builders Federation, Chair of the Future Homes Hub, and is a member of the government’s Net Zero Council. He is an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

David Thomas said: “I am delighted to be joining the Board of Rightmove. Throughout my career in the residential property sector, I have seen first-hand the important role Rightmove plays for consumers, estate agents, and housebuilders. I look forward to bringing my industry experience to the Board and working with the management team as the business continues to innovate and develop its leading position.”
