Meren Energy is heading to Africa Energy Week 2026 with a clear focus on production growth, investment and new opportunities across Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea and Namibia.
The company is sponsoring the event in Cape Town, where three members of its senior management team will participate in discussions covering some of the key areas of its African growth strategy.
Meren President and CEO Oliver Quinn will open the company’s participation on Tuesday 13 October at the African Independents Roundtable. The session will focus on how independent operators can scale capacity, increase production and attract investment.
Nigeria will be a key focus on Wednesday 14 October, when CFO Aldo Perracini joins the Invest in Nigeria panel. Discussions will centre on increasing production, offshore exploration and bringing idle wells back into operation.
Meren’s Head of Commercial and Business Development, Marina Vilas Boas, will also participate on Wednesday in the Invest in Equatorial Guinea panel. The discussion will focus on expanding the country’s gas hub and securing investment for frontier exploration.
The company’s participation puts its three core markets directly at the centre of its Africa Energy Week programme.
Meren is focused on opportunities capable of generating cash from existing production while using infrastructure to support further growth. Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea and Namibia remain central to this strategy.
The focus on Nigeria is particularly relevant to Meren’s production plans, with opportunities spanning existing assets, offshore exploration and the potential redevelopment of idle wells. In Equatorial Guinea, the company is focused on the expansion of the country’s gas hub alongside frontier exploration opportunities.
Meren Energy Inc (MER.TO) is a leading independent, full-cycle E&P with production and development assets in deepwater Nigeria, a leading carried position in the Orange Basin across Namibia and South Africa, and operated licences in Equatorial Guinea.
